Funding is essential to pay the co-ordinators, playleaders and secretary and to provide a high standard of service to the families.  Home-Start Uttlesford is a cost effective scheme which receives grants from Essex County Council Children Schools and Families Service and from the West Essex Primary Care Trust.  

Additional grants and donations are received from district/parish councils and a range of local and national charities and voluntary bodies.  Our Supporters are listed here - we are enormously grateful to each and every one!

The Friends of Home-Start Uttlesford was set up in 1985 as an active, enthusiastic fund raising group to provide additional revenue. 

Events are arranged for all age groups such as the annual Christmas lunch and sale, quiz nights, Saffron Sleuth competition for Under 16s and Bridge Suppers etc.

We would appreciate your financial support to contribute to our running costs, which include:

£16 for a family to attend a Family Group session

£150 per year to train and support a volunteer

£500 for our Christmas Party for up to forty children

£2000 per year to hire the halls for our Family Groups

In 2010-11 we supported 94 families in their own homes.

35 families attended the Family Groups and 195 children benefited from the support given by our dedicated volunteers.

Joining the 100 Club is a great way to help Home-Start in the simplest possible way. For £1.00 per month you will be allocated a number which will be entered into a monthly draw.
