HOME-START Uttlesford is a local branch of the national voluntary organisation,
with charitable status, in which volunteers offer regular support, friendship
and practical help to youn g families under stress in their own homes helping to
prevent family crisis and breakdown. HOME-START is for a family with at least one child under five years of age. Caring for children, particularly the under fives, is not always easy and can, at times, be very stressful.
Home-Start Volunteers, mostly parents themselves, understand very well that need and are ready to offer help and friendly flexible support. parent you might ask for Home-Start's help for all sorts of reasons:
Help is at hand. There is no stigma attached to Home-Start's help - the fact that almost 25% of families refer themselves to us is proof of that. We try to support any family who needs us, as long as they have at least one child under five. When you ask for Home-Start's help you can also be sure of total confidentiality.

Home-Start Uttlesford AGM - 27 September Home-Start Uttlesford invite you to attend our 26th Annual General Meeting on 27th September 2010 at 9:45am for 10:00 am. The meeting is at the Friends Meeting House, Saffron Walden and guest speaker is Claire Pesterfield, Paediatric Diabetes Unit at Addenbrookes Hospital.
